Q – How much is New Year’s Eve in Bideford likely to cost my family and I?

A – All of the entertainment provided on The Quay is free for the whole family to enjoy, of course the various fun fair rides and attractions will charge an admission fee but working closely with our partners ensures that those costs are kept to a minimum for people coming into the town on New Year’s Eve to enjoy.

Q - I am wheel chair bound, will I be able to park somewhere close to where all the main activity is taking place on the Quay this year?

A – Yes, we have limited parking spaces available for wheel chair bound people wishing to attend the event. Spaces are offered on a first come, first served basis. For more information please refer to (insert link to the right information)

Q - Will there be anywhere I can take shelter should the weather turn inclement?

A – Sadly there is limited shelter available in the main event area, we have looked at various solutions over the years to offer some form of cover in cases when the weather is so inclement but at time of writing, nothing has been found which is either safe or cost effective. What we do advise is that revellers either wrap up warmly or enjoy the hospitality of the many pubs and licensed restaurants which are located within easy reach of the main entertainment stage.

Q - I’m coming by train to the event, I notice that there is public transport which I’m able to catch from the local station to the main event site but what about getting back to the station, will Taxi’s be readily available on the night?

A – Yes, we are working closely with all the Taxi firms and licensed operators in the area and will again be offering two Taxi Ranks, North of the site located outside the Post Office, with the other South of the site, located in the lower end of Bridge Street, just outside Grenville House.

Q - I would like to volunteer for this year's event, how do I go about getting involved?

A – Well depending upon which area of our event interests you will depend who you ultimately end up assisting but for sure we would always welcome volunteers in all aspects of the event. In the first instance if you are serious about getting involved, a good place to start would be to email The Production Manager, This email address is being protected from spambots. Q - Will there be anywhere I can take shelter if the weather turns inclement?

A – Bideford is a small town but big on catering and hospitality, there is always a warm welcome awaiting you and your party just around the corner, either in the many pubs, clubs or licensed restaurants that reside in the town. We are working closely with The Bideford Street Pastors to offer tired revellers a warm drink, or soup and a roll and somewhere warm to relax. Details will be released here shortly.

Q - I’ve heard that Bideford is big on dressing up in fancy dress?

A – Oh for sure, we always try and pick up with a theme for the fancy dress, this year with so many blockbuster movies being launched theme for this year’s celebrations is At The Movies… So let your imaginations run wild, plenty with scope with outfits available from a number of outlets in Bideford on the day, details will be added here shortly.
